The design of this new 4,000 SF residence incorporates multiple levels to work with the existing sloping terrain of the site. The multiple levels combined with an open modern plan allow the residents to see through the space from all four corners.

The circulation is organized around a central planter with a two story space above lit by a skylight monitor. This arrangement allows light to reach deep within the space. The level changes and use of high clerestory windows at the perimeter allow for views through the house to the sky at the street side and through to the redwood forest in the rear yard from virtually all locations in the house.
